We work hard to provide the best hosting service anywhere, and it’s great to have the .NET hosting community tell us that we’re doing a good job.

Did you know that Winhost has an affiliate program? Well, now you do!
If you aren’t familiar with affiliate or referral programs, what they do is pay you for referring customers to a business. You usually refer people using a link on your site, or if it’s a service that you use and enjoy yourself (like Winhost!), you can refer people you know personally.
The more customers you can refer to us, the more money you can make per referral. If you have a busy site, or know a lot of people who can use hosting, why not let us pay you for sending them our way?
You don’t have to be a Winhost customer to join our affiliate program. The affiliates page should answer all your questions, but feel free to let us know if you have any questions that aren’t covered.
Have you seen the latest addition to the Site Tools section of Control Panel?
It’s called App Installer, and it is an easy to use installation tool for a number of third-party applications, including WordPress, Drupal, BlogEngine.NET, DotNetNuke, phpBB3, and many more.
App Installer installs the applications, but updating them is still your responsibility, so you may want to make sure you’re comfortable upgrading one of the packages before you install it. A lot of these third-party apps are very popular, and are updated quite often.
If you registered your domain name(s) elsewhere, now you can transfer those domain names to Winhost. Why would you want to do that? Well, a lot of people requested incoming transfers so they could have all of the elements of their site consolidated under one login and payment method. If that appeals to you, now we can help.

You asked for it so you got it! Winhost proudly announces the introduction of SQL 2008 R2 hosting which is now available for free with all of the Winhost Windows hosting plans. Winhost customers have a choice between SQL Server 2008 and SQL 2008 R2 when creating a database from inside the Winhost control panel. Web hosting plans that come with multiple SQL databases can use SQL 2008 R2 or SQL 2008 exclusively, or create a mix of SQL 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 databases.
