Winhost customers have a choice between SQL Server 2008 and SQL 2008 R2 when creating a database from inside the Winhost control panel. Web hosting plans that come with multiple SQL databases can use SQL 2008 R2 or SQL 2008 exclusively, or create a mix of SQL 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 databases.
